Tallahassee Women Lawyers is a leading chapter of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers and recipient of the “Outstanding Chapter of the Year 2013″ award. TWL promotes the status of women in the legal community and creates, improves, and maintains supportive networks among members in the legal profession through mutual cooperation, respect, and good friendship. Founded in 1980, TWL is a voluntary bar organization of women and men in Tallahassee’s legal community. Open to all members of The Florida Bar, as well as law students and affiliate members, TWL consists of members from all levels of the judicial, legal, political, and business community.
TWL offers both lunch and dinner meetings that are typically held on the second Wednesday of each month at Capital City Country Club. Programs feature guest speakers and are often approved for CLE credit. TWL hosts an annual Judicial Reception each October and a Rookie Camp for new attorneys in February. TWL also helps members find ways to give back to the community and supports various charitable causes throughout the year.
If you aren’t already a member of TWL, I hope that you will consider joining our award winning organization! If you’re already a member, on behalf of the entire TWL Board of Directors I wish to thank you for your continued support. I look forward to serving you this year.
