About TWL

Welcome to the Tallahassee Women Lawyers (“TWL”).  Since its inception in 1980, TWL has been – and remains – dedicated to promoting the status of women in the legal community and the community at large as well as to creating, improving, and maintaining supportive networks between members in the legal profession through mutual cooperation, respect, and good friendship.  Open to all members of The Florida Bar, as well as law students and affiliate members, TWL consists of members from all levels of the judicial, legal, political, and business community.

TWL offers both lunch and dinner meetings that are typically held on the second Wednesday of each month at the Capital City Country Club. At each meeting, we strive to offer programs on a variety of topics and are often able to provide continuing legal education credit to our members who attend. TWL will also be hosting “Food for Thought” events, which are smaller meetings, including a round-table discussion, at a local restaurant where attendees can have a good meal, learn something new, and obtain CLE credit.  TWL also hosts an annual Judicial Reception each October and a Rookie Camp for new attorneys in February. TWL also helps members find ways to give back to the community and supports various charitable causes throughout the year.  To see some of TWL’s events and activities from the 2016-2017 year, check out our Year End Review.

If you aren’t already a member of TWL, I hope that you will consider joining our award winning organization! If you’re already a member, on behalf of the entire TWL Board of Directors I wish to thank you for your continued support. I look forward to serving you this year.
